oooh, i watched another play last saturday, Mama Mia. it was good but not as good as Wicked. i kinda got irritated with the lead character, Sophie, coz she kept on moving back and forth on her toes, i wanna just hold her in place. i loved the character Tanya. she's crazy fun! hahahaha! like Samantha Jones in Sex and the City.

anyways, as before, New York looks good, moreso now that it's spring and the flowers are in bloom. i wish i could get to see Ground Zero before i go home.

i have been sorta spring cleaning. well, we are moving in two days, it's as if i have a choice. hehehe. i felt a bit sad while packing my winter clothes. i dunno why. must be the sentimental fool in me. i am concerned for my clothes. we will store them in the attic, a portion of will be my room too, which gets hot as hell when the temperature rises coz the central air doesn't reach way over there. the feathers might break down, or the rubber soles of my socks might melt and the fabric become brittle. well, we'll soon see.

i love having just a handful of clothes. hehehe. it makes packing easier. when my closet gets full, i give some away. unlike my ma. hahaha!

in two weeks, i'm home bound. i dunno if i'll be able to wear my favorite red down jacket again or my white trench, or my boots. i dunno if i'll ever come back. oh, there's huge possibility in terms of, uh, availability and stuff, but what i mean is, will i want to? i'm thinking out loud and i can't fully explain just yet. let's just say, the next time i wanna see snow will be with boyfriend, outside my own apartment. hope everything will work out for the best.

the weather today hit 80F! i am soooo happy! i was able to go out in shorts and tsinelas, sans sweater. woohoo!!! a first since i got here last November. hahahaha! to top it off, we had pancit molo for lunch. daw sa Pinas lang... hehehe

yesterday was good too, we went to Fridays for my cousin's birthday dinner then watched Fast and Furious. i enjoyed the movie, coz what's not to like? Michelle Rodriguez was there, and alotta fast cars. woohoo!

anyways, my cousins and I just got back from painting the attic of the apartment where my aunt is gonna move into next month. the wall was very green, like the green cloth used for special effects, and she abhorred it. hahaha. we painted it purple, like the color of my room now. i had painted the kitchen walls yellow 2 days before. later, we are gonna collect our worker's compensation dinner. hehehe

i don't know what's happened to me, but i didn't feel like blogging lately. i still kinda don't.
i had a lot on my mind but i didn't have anything to write. weird, isn't it?

my days have been pretty routine, though i seem to be waking earlier than my usual 12nn this past week. i have developed an affair with my aunt's coffee maker. i am proud to say that i can make a mean cappuccino. hehehe.

also, i have developed this fascination for men in uniform! i saw a few guys from the US Navy when we were in Rhode Island, and there's something about them that is soooo.... fascinating. that says a lot, coz i am usually drawn to men with long hair. hahahaha! i have also been watching NCIS(Naval Criminal Investigative Service) on tv. plus, just last week there was this news about pirates holding hostage an american merchant ship in Somalia, and a Navy captain was interviewed about it, how they are going about the rescue and stuff. i was fixated. it was just sooooo... fascinating. hahahahaha! aaaaand, the rescue attempt was successful. SEALS, baby. hahahahaha!

another thing i've noticed, is that i've become... friendlier since i got here. hahaha. i've had quite a handful of new acquaintances over the net. maybe because i'm on it almost 24/7 that it's inevitable to make new friends and, i've become less suspicious about it . before, i would never be the first one to tell you to add me up on messenger or accept friend requests. now i know that not all people you meet online are perverts. i now have a couple of new friends that are really nice. i am excited to meet them all when i get back. hehehehe.

not only have i become friendlier, i think i've become... sweeter? hahahahaha! it's funny for me coz i remember what my sis, Mayang said one day 9 years ago. she said, "sis, indi ta gid ka bala ma imagine nga sweet ka. kay daw ka barumbado sa imo." hahahaha! and to prove her wrong i bought a lollipop ang gave it to her to make my point. hahaha. okay, the point of this paragraph is that i have become more expressive. if i am fretting that i made you feel bad, i say it, and apologize or something. if i'm pissed, i say it. if i feel a fuse is gonna blow, i say it. and most especially if i'm excited, not only do i say it, you can feel it bounce off me even if you're a thousand miles away. like emery said, "i can smell your excitement way over here." heheheheheh.
lastly, i am on this eco friendly kick. well i have been for a while, since i joined Greenpeace, but moreso now coz it's easy to be eco friendly here. there are lots of shops that offer organic thingamajigs, like Trader Joes or Whole Foods. i have pushed my aunts to use cloth bags for their groceries and other organic household stuff. the shampoo and face wachamacallit i use was never tested on animals. i also have been buying organic tees or tees with the peace sign on them. of course, what is organic without hemp? ahahahaha! hemp body butter, i mean. LOL.

holy week is gonna start tomorrow. i am not really a devout catholic, but this year, i am gonna do some form of sacrifice.

for one whole week, i am swearing off the internet. gawd knows that this IS a big sacrifice. i am on the net almost 24 hours a day, it has become some sort of lifeline for me. oh, maybe not the internet per se, since i am still gonna check my emails but that's about it. i'm torn about plurk though, coz i don't want my karma to go down. anyways, i am not gonna reply to emails unless it's a matter of life and death. hehehe. and to reinforce it, i am not gonna go near my laptop, but just use my ipod instead.

my UP high school badge. the same badge i wore since i was a freshman. i remember having a new set of uniform every year, but i would always tear out the badge from the old ones and stitch it on the new set. that was how i told my class satus. the more faded it is, the more senior you are. hehehe.
